We bring a seasonal update from our (currently snow-covered!) corner of Inwood:

Hard to believe it was *ten* winters ago, in (an also then snowy) Chicago, when Jon first showed me this comic, asking what, if any, musical potential I saw in it… (I continue to see Nutcracker-but-*not-Nutcracker* potential for a variety of dance companies/community theaters across the spectrum of scales and budgets…) What a winding road it’s been – and I’m ever grateful for it.

Channeling strength from my inner-“Sarah” with some sweet potatoes in the oven, as our local trees reel from recent fires, the forest prepares for its next “chapter,” and sunset comes ever earlier…
